2009 Sauvignon Blanc

We are proud to announce the release of our second vintage of Emerson Brown Sauvignon Blanc from Rutherford. In Napa Valley, Sauvignon Blanc planted on the valley floor tends to possess a balance between citrus and tropical fruit and our goal has been to showcase this distinct fruit expression. Upon entry, clean citrus and hints of fresh honeydew melon lead to flavors of pink grapefruit and lemon zest. The acid backbone progresses to a mouth-watering, flinty minerality of wet stone that is finally complemented by a broad crème brûlée-like texture on the palate.

The Emerson Brown philosophy has always been to create wines that we enjoy drinking. With spring and summer fast approaching, there is no wine that we enjoy more than a clean, crisp, well-balanced white with explosive fruit and ideal acid structure. Both of us (Brian and Keith) have extensive experience in crafting aromatic white wines, including Sauvignon Blanc. We have had our hands on some of the finest whites of New Zealand, Australia and California and would like to share this deliciously refreshing creation with you, at an attractive price.
